Terms of Service

By booking an appointment with me, you agree to the following terms of service:

I will provide support, personalized recommendations, editorial services, feedback, job coaching, mock interviews, and/or one-on-one writing coaching to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. You, as a client, may be expected to share written work or personal information, such as your work history. I assume anything you share with me is truthful and authored by you.

CONFIDENTIALITY

I prioritize client mental health and safety and promise that any writing you share with me will remain confidential unless you give consent to share it.  

PAYMENT

You agree to pay the rate presented when booking your appointment. Discounts will only be honored with a valid coupon code.

A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required when scheduling any 1:1 coaching session, with the option to pay in full. If any amount is outstanding after your session, you’ll receive an invoice and the remaining payment is to be remitted within seven (7) days of the invoice date.

Editing and feedback services will be invoiced with deliverables and payment is to be remitted within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date.

If you owe payment for more than one (1) coaching session, I will not schedule future sessions until payment is made in full.

CANCELLATION POLICY

It is your responsibility to notify me of any need to cancel or reschedule a meeting before 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time the day before a scheduled meeting or you will forfeit your deposit. If no deposit was made, you will be billed for a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the coaching fee.

Rescheduling

I will do my best to honor requests for rescheduled meetings, but coaching hours are limited and I cannot guarantee there will be another opening within the week. If there is no suitable time to reschedule, I’ll refund your deposit.

If you chronically cancel or reschedule, I may limit future appointments and require full payment in advance of any sessions.

No-show

If you are a no-show for a scheduled meeting, your deposit will not be refunded and I will not reschedule. 

NO GUARANTEES 

I make no guarantees regarding publication, project completion, monetization, offers of employment or promotion, or other personal or professional outcomes as a result of coaching.

To get the most from your coaching experience, I encourage you to be open-minded and receptive to suggestions, realistic about your goals and time commitments, and consistent.

MUTUAL RESPECT

I promise to treat all clients with respect and integrity and will never engage in behavior that is intimidating, bullying, or harassing. I expect mutual respect and integrity from clients.  

TERMINATION OF SERVICES

 You may end services at any time, for any reason, by sending an email to maryann.aita@gmail.com to ensure that you have no outstanding balance due.
